Oedekoven v. Oedekoven
Wyoming Supreme Court
538 P.2d 1292 (1975)
- Written by Eric Miller, JD
Facts
Leon Oedekoven (defendant) and Auguste Oedekoven (plaintiff) entered into a property-settlement agreement, which was ratified and confirmed by a divorce decree. However, the decree did not provide direction for compliance with the agreement’s terms. Leon failed to make the payments called for by the agreement. Auguste moved to show cause why Leon should not be held in contempt of court for failure to comply with the divorce decree. The court held Leon in contempt. Leon appealed. The Wyoming Supreme Court granted certiorari.
