Rule 803(8)(C) of the Federal Rules of Evidence

Definition

Provides that records and reports of public offices are admissible if they set forth factual findings resulting from an investigation in civil actions and actions against the government in criminal cases, unless the information or its sources indicate a lack of trustworthiness.
