In this clip we will examine forms of divorce that differ in some way from the absolute form of divorce that we have focused on in the previous clips. Limited divorce, or legal separation, is a statutorily created form of divorce that enables couples to live separately without completely dissolving their marriage.  Divisible divorce, or ex parte divorce, allows a court to change a moving-spouse’s marital status from “married” to “divorced” in the absence of the other spouse.
