Coordination of Benefits
Definition
An insurance plan provision permitting individuals or families with multiple insurance policies to receive up to 100 percent coverage for certain services by coordinating the order in which each plan must pay benefits. A coordination-of-benefits provision may also be known as an other-insurance provision.
