Definition

A statute establishing how the estates of testators with reciprocal wills or rights of survivorship are to be disbursed if those testators die simultaneously. Many states follow the Uniform Simultaneous Death Act, under which a devisee must survive the testator for at least 120 hours or be deemed to have predeceased the testator.
