This is one of two videos on restitution, an equitable remedy. It will address the availability of restitution when a plaintiff bestows a benefit on a defendant pursuant to an unenforceable contract and also when a plaintiff provides a benefit or payment to a defendant without any agreement. Restitutionary remedies in these two contexts are commonly called quasi-contract or quantum meruit. Another video will discuss restitution for torts.
