I. General Effect of Dismissal
The bankruptcy court can dismiss a chapter 7 bankruptcy case in appropriate circumstances. If the bankruptcy court dismisses a case for any reason, then that's the end of the case. At that point, the debtor can forget about receiving a discharge, unless perhaps she files for bankruptcy again somewhere down the line.
